UK vehicle mounted sales, installation and service company CPL has opened a new in-house IPAF training centre.
At the same time technical supervisor Stephen Gormley, who leads the company’s testing operations, has passed all the necessary accreditations to become the in-house trainer. He has worked with CPL for almost eight years having joined the business in 2016 from King Trailers, initially as a quality control supervisor, moving into his current role a year and half later. He had previously worked in the engineering department of Fairline Yachts.
The new training centre which will start hosting regular in-house courses and tests from the start of the new year, will offer the full range of IPAF operating training courses and will be located at the company’s headquarters in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Managing director Paul Murphy said: "Becoming an IPAF training centre is a significant milestone for CPL. This accreditation underscores our unwavering commitment to prioritising safety and proficiency in the operation of powered access equipment. We are excited to contribute to the industry by providing top notch training that aligns with IPAF's global standards. I would also like to say well done to Stephen. He has shown dedication to CPL by passing all of his training with flying colours."
