UK rental company John Sutch Crane hire has taken delivery of a new 450 tonne Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1
The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 can travel with its seven section 85 metre main boom in place, along with outriggers and winch within 12 tonne axle loads. In the UK where axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes are tolerated, it can also travel with its seven metre swingaway extension and up to 24 tonnes of counterweight on board.
The crane also has an 84 metre luffing jib for a maximum tip height of 136 metres, with the potential to handle 1.9 tonnes at a radius of 103 metres and a height of around 50 metres. Other features include VarioBallast adjustable counterweight and VarioBase variable outrigger set up and monitoring.
The unit is now on test, along with operator and crew training, with its first job scheduled in London early next month. It is the seventh new crane delivered so far this year for the company.
