German crane and aerial lift rental company Schmid Hebebühnenverleih has taken delivery of a new 30 metre Easy Lift RA31HY hybrid spider lift.
Launched in 2019, the RA31 has a three section telescopic riser/lower boom and three section top boom, crowned by a 1.8 metre jib with 170 degrees of articulation, delivering a maximum working height of 30.2 metres, with a maximum outreach of 14.5 metres at an up and over height of 15 metres, maximum platform capacity is 230kg. The overall width is 890mm and total weight of the hybrid model is 4,300kg.
In addition to a 200Ah 48 volt lithium battery pack, it has an AC drive motor and a diesel, when running a hydraulic generator automatically recharges the battery pack, while the high speed on board charger quickly replenishes the battery pack. The unit was purchased through Easy Lift distributor Rothlehner.
Schmid Hebebühnenverleih is based in Munich with depots in Augsburg and Landsberg from which it runs a fleet of aerial work platforms, spider cranes and telehandlers. It promotes itself as ‘Green Schmid’ and is working to convert its entire fleet to more environmentally friendly equipment. Schmid is a member of the PartnerLift the German association of independent rental companies.
