Sunbelt acquires Casale

The US operation of Sunbelt Rentals has acquired Casale Rent-All of Albany, New York from owner and founder Tony Casale.
Casale started the business in 1995 as a retail hardware store - Clifton Park True Value hardware. He began offering equipment for rent , when it began to take off he renamed the business as Casale True Value Rent-All, and later Casale Rent-All.
The company opened its second location in 2005 in Colonie on the north side of Albany, relocating to purpose built facility in 2019. The company runs an extensive aerial lift fleet, from Almac self-levelling tracked scissor lifts through to big Genie and JLG boom lifts as well as telehandlers.

In recent years a second generation of the family has played an increasingly important role in the business, in the form of son Nick Casale as head of sales, while son Anthony manages maintenance and deliveries, and daughter Gianna looks after administration. The sons will stay wit the business under Sunbelt ownership.

Speaking of his decision to sell Tony Casale said: “We knew that to continue our growth we would have to expand geographically from the Albany market. Sunbelt made us a great offer and we felt the time was right for us to sell.”

In a note to customers, he added: “It is with heavy hearts that we write today to inform you that we made the decision to sell our family business to Sunbelt Rentals. Anthony and Nick have joined the Sunbelt team so please continue to reach out to them and the rest of the staff for all your rental needs. We would not be here today without the dedicated staff that made sure to put your needs, as the customer, first.
We wanted to take this time to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support over the years. Our family has grown alongside our business, and we would not be here today without all of you. Thank you.”
