Snorkel has appointed Callum French as area sales manager in southern England and David Roddy as special projects leader for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
French takes over the territory handled by Scott Holby, prior to his promotion to UK sales director, he joins the company from Hilti, where he has been a key account manager and solutions consultant, for the past seven and a half years. His working life began in 2010 as a database administrator with Epicore software, leaving the following year to join the Royal Navy as a submariner. His rental related career began in 2015 with HSS where he was appointed as a depot manager, following the completion of his Navy service.
French said: “I am excited to join Snorkel and cannot wait to start meeting our new and existing customers. I have worked both within and supplied the hire industry in my past positions, and it’s such a great community to be part of. Roddy has been with Snorkel/Ahern group since 2017, and was previously general manager of sister company Ahern Ireland, which distributes Snorkel in Ireland.
He began his career in 2003 as a national account manager with Avery Weigh-Tronix moving to JLG in 2006 as a territory manager. In late 2007 he switched to similar roles with Haulotte and then Terex, making the move in 2011. After five and a half years with Terex/Genie he was appointed as UK market manager for IPAF, leaving for Snorkel seven months later.
Scott Holtby said “The south of the UK has been an important part of Snorkel's growth in the last few years. This appointment further strengthens the wide range of skill and expertise within our team.”
