Haulotte steps up in Thailand

Haulotte has appointed Thai sales & rental company RTS (Rent Trade and Service Co) as an official dealer for Thailand.

The operational arm of the business, Rent (Thailand) is a joint venture between Japanese rental group Rent Corporation, which owns 49 percent of the business, and Thailand's Rent Trade & Service Co. which has a 48 percent stake. The balance is held by Meiwa Enterprise (Thailand).

The company sells and rents a wide variety of equipment across Thailand, including aerial work platforms and spider cranes. Headquartered in the Suanluang district of Bangkok, the company operates from six branches in and around Bangkok and Pattaya in the south of the country. They are- Rangsit on the north side of Bangkok, Samut Prakan on the southeast side of the city, and Samutsakhon on the south west. In addition, it has depots in Chonbur and Bowin to the south east and Maptaphut further south in Rayong Province.

RTS started out as an equipment transport and service business but formed the joint venture with Rent in February 2008. The company said: “Thailand’s marketplace for aerial work platform rental is competitive and expected to continuously intensify. Haulotte products are of a high quality and equipped with safety innovations that use the latest technologies. We are delighted about this new partnership with Haulotte. With the recovery of construction, Thailand’s rental market continues to expand, its potential is large and is attracting newcomers from other countries.
