The UK’s largest telehandler rental company Ardent Hire has purchased 125 new JCB straight frame telehandlers.
The deal was made through the manufacturer’s dealer Watling JCB, and includes telehandlers from 14 to 20 metres including the 14 metre JCB 540-140, 17 metre 540-170, 17.5 metre 540-180, and 20 metre 540-200. The first units are due to arrive this month.
Chief financial officer Julian O’Neill said: “These telehandlers represent the latest in innovation and reliability, aligning with our mission to deliver superior solutions to our clients. With this strategic partnership we are poised to elevate our capabilities and reinforce our position as the largest telehandler rental supplier in the UK.”
The first telehandlers arrive

Ardent Hire Solutions runs a fleet of 7,000 units - with an average age of less than three years - from 10 depots from Glasgow, Scotland in the north, to Fareham in southern England with 270 employees.
