Australian rental company Height 4 Hire has taken delivery if its 1,000th aerial work platform a 19ft Haulotte Optimum 8 slab electric scissor lift.
The handover took place at Height 4 Hire’s facility in Richlands, Queensland, on the south side of Brisbane.
The new Optimum 8 is one of 285 such machines in the Height 4 Hire fleet. It has an overall width of 790mm maximum working height of 7.8 metres and a platform capacity of 230kg, with roll out deck extension, battery management system and AC direct drive electric wheel motors. Overall weight is 1,590kg.
Height 4 Hire was set up by Ken Baker in 2010 with 55 units, and now operates from two locations, with a branch in Northgate, Brisbane in addition to the Richlands’ base.
Ken Baker said: “We have become well known in the hire industry for providing reliable, safe and well-maintained equipment. We are so proud of our growth over the last 12 years, which is thanks to great staff, customers and high quality, reliable machines like Haulotte scissors and booms. Our fleet has grown from 55 machines, and we look forward to adding another 1,000 EWP’s in the future.”
