Modulift launches training academy

UK based modular spreader beam manufacturer Modulift has launched a training academy to provide in-depth training on the use and applications for its lifting equipment. It has appointed Malcolm Peacock to lead the training operation.
Malcolm Peacock

Peacock has a strong background in the lifting industry starting in 2003 as a lifting consultant at RHC Lifting. Five years later he left for Alnsar Technical Trading Agencies in the UAE, where he was appointed business development manager. During his six and a half years with the company it became a full member of the Lifting Equipment and Engineers Association (LEEA). In 2014 He joined Modulift for the first time based in Abu Dhabi where he was responsible for the global distribution network and new business development. In 2019, he moved to Caldwell Group, then Murlink, before joining SpanSet two years ago as a lifting solutions specialist, returning to Modulift earlier this month.

Training from the new academy is available both in person and virtually. It caters to end users, such as site managers or engineers as well as rental companies, resellers and distributors. It will cover various topics, including inspection and testing, product familiarisation, an overview of user instructions, safe use practices, examples of misuse, safety checklists, safe rigging and the differences between lifting beams, spreader beams, and custom design.
