German crane rental company Berres Kranverleih has taken delivery of a 180 tonne Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 All Terrain crane.
The new model replaces a 110 tonne All Terrain in the fleet and will be used mostly for the assembly of precast concrete elements.
The five axle LTM 1160-5.2 features a six section 62 metre main boom and a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Three additional seven metre lattice sections can be installed between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 104 metres.
Collecting the new crane
Managing director Dorothea Berres said: "We attach real importance to state of the art technical equipment, expertise and adherence to deadlines. That's why we decided to invest in this new crane, with its innovative technology such VarioBallast adjustable ballast radius. The LTM 1160-5.2 fits perfectly into our range and closes a gap in our line up.”

Berres was established in 2001and is based in Kleinheubach, Lower Franconia, central Germany, and runs a fleet of mobile cranes up to 220 tonnes.
