Swapping a 110t for a 180t

German crane rental company Berres Kranverleih has taken delivery of a 180 tonne Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 All Terrain crane.

The new model replaces a 110 tonne All Terrain in the fleet and will be used mostly for the assembly of precast concrete elements.
The five axle LTM 1160-5.2 features a six section 62 metre main boom and a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Three additional seven metre lattice sections can be installed between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 104 metres.

That's why we decided to invest in this new crane, with its innovative technology such VarioBallast adjustable ballast radius. The LTM 1160-5.2 fits perfectly into our range and closes a gap in our line up.”

Berres was established in 2001and is based in Kleinheubach, Lower Franconia, central Germany, and runs a fleet of mobile cranes up to 220 tonnes.
