Another Liebherr for Davies

Welsh rental company Davies Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2, All Terrain, its third crane from the manufacturer so far this year.

The four axle crane features a seven section 60 metre main boom, and can be equipped with a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of almost 80 metres. The crane also features VarioBase variable outrigger set up, full remote control system and Liebherr’s refinery kit which aims to improve safety when working in flammable gas environments.

The new LTM 1090-4.2

This is the third Liebherr unit delivered to Davies this year, the others being a 60 tonne three axle LTM 1060-3.1 and a five axle LTM1110-5.2, the first in Wales.

Founded in 1979 and based in Carmarthen with depots in Port Talbot, Milford Haven and Cardiff, family run Davies Crane Hire is one of the largest independent crane rental company in Wales. It currently runs a fleet of mobile and crawler cranes with capacities from eight to 400 tonnes.
