Hungarian rental company Tamás és Zsolt has taken delivery of a 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 All Terrain crane, its 21st Liebherr unit in the fleet.

The eight axle crane features a basic four section 54 metre boom which converts to a six section 80 metre boom when required. A 90 metre luffing jib is also available. Other features include the VarioBallast hydraulically variable counterweight system, Stage V diesels with ECOdrive and ECOmode fuel and emission saving devices and Variobase variable outrigger set up and monitoring.
The handover

Owner, Tamás Lovas said: “It is not just lifting height and radius that are becoming ever greater for crane jobs, but the concrete elements for bridge or shed constructions are also becoming heavier and longer, meaning that demand for equipment in the class over 400 tonnes is also increasing in Hungary.”

“We are also receiving more and more enquiries for repairing wind turbines. We have added our new Liebherr LTM to our fleet to cover these jobs. Whether with luffing jib or fixed jib, Y-guying or different ballasting options using VarioBallast – the crane is not just suitable for a wide range of jobs, but can also travel on public roads with its jib.”

Based south east of Budapest, Tamás és Zsolt was founded in 1994 by Istvan Lovas and now runs a fleet of excavators, trailers and All Terrains between 35 and 700 tonnes with a work force of 75.
