UK crane rental company Berry Cranes has taken delivery of a six tonne Böcker AK 42 truck-mounted crane, the first in the UK.
The crane features a three section main boom plus a three section telescopic jib for a tip height of 42 metres with a maximum radius of 35 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity at 8.2 metres and 1.5 tonnes at a height of 24 metres and radius of 18 metres.
Managing director Neil Berry said: "I am really pleased to carry on our long association with Böcker and to be the first company in the UK to take delivery of this AK 42 hybrid crane with its innovative and versatile tower crane function, further enhancing our fleet of Böcker cranes.”
Established in 2000, Berry Cranes is based in Towcester, South Northamptonshire. Its fleet consists of All Terrain cranes from Liebherr, Tadano and Grove while also running one of the largest Böcker fleets in the UK.
