Hybrid spider for painter

German façade design, repair and painting company Malerwerkstatt Schüttler has taken delivery of an 18 metre Ruthmann Bluelift SA18HB hybrid spider lift.

The new lift replaces a 20 year old, 15 metre model, and offers a maximum working height of 17.8 metres with up to 9.3 metres of outreach at an up & over height of seven metres with 80kg in the basket. Maximum platform capacity is 230kg at up to seven metres outreach. The company selected the battery/ diesel powered hybrid as most of its work will be in urban areas working alongside occupied buildings.

Company owner Sascha Schüttler said: "This new platform will allow us to be even more flexible and efficient in carrying out facade repairs and painting jobs. Especially in places where setting up a scaffold is not possible or would take too long, the SA18HB will be an invaluable help."
