Spotted at Zrce Beach in Novalja, Croatia, 'Bungee 55,' a 55 metre bungee jump from a tower crane. In place since 2004, it is the second highest bungee jump in the country.
For €69 participants can plunge solo or for €119 in tandem, all day and night until 6:00 in the morning. Requirements are that individuals must be 16 years old and weigh between 45 and 120kg.
Located a stone’s throw from Noa Beach Club, arguably the most popular night club in Croatia, and ranked among the best clubs in the world with a capacity for 4,000 revellers, the jump offers drunk daredevils the perfect opportunity to test how well gravity and alcohol mix.
Once strapped in, participants are lifted in a man basket on the crane, then slewed and trolleyed out over the Adriatic, before jumping.
Comically, the news outlet Novalja Local, says: “The bungee jump will give you increased self-confidence and self-esteem, reduced stress and anxiety, improved mental and physical health as well as opportunities for personal growth and development.”
A smaller tower crane, directly above Noa Beach Club serves the important task of lowering crates of champagne into the crowds below, while allowing singers and presenters to hover above the crowds during music events.
