German rental company Cramer has taken delivery of two 18 metre Easylift R180 spider lifts from Easylift dealer Rothlehner.
The R180 has a long riser topped by a three section telescopic boom and articulating jib for a working height of 17.6 metres, a maximum outreach of 9.6 metres with 80kg or 8.5 metres with 120kg, while the maximum platform capacity of 200kg is available at up to 7.7 metres, all at an up & over height of five metres. Overall weight is 2,200kg.
Cramer is based in Hagen, western Germany, and was founded in 1962 by Peter Cramer to transport timber, the company then shifted to tree care in 1970 acquiring a number of work platforms to assist with the work. A rental business sideline soon emerged and in 1977, the company formally opened its lift rental business, including under bridge inspection platforms. Telehandlers were added in 2002, as a second generation joined the company in the form Till Cramer, followed a couple of years later by daughter Annekathrin Schumacher-Cramer and her husband Jan Schumacher who took over the management of the rental division. By 2010 the fleet had grown to 750 units, including spider cranes, so the tree business was dropped.
The company now employs 115 people with a fleet of 1,600 platforms, telehandlers, and cranes.
