CFO for Point of Rental

Rental software supplier Point of Rental has appointed Matthew ‘Matt’ Ross as its first chief financial officer.

He joined the company as senior vice president of global finance in 2021 and oversaw the company’s acquisition of Record360 and continued expansion within the UK, Australia, and South African markets.

Ross began his career as a financial analyst with Lockheed Martin, leaving for Active Network, an international ‘Software as a Service’ company, where he was appointed senior treasury analyst, he worked his way up through the business to become senior finance manager. When the company was acquired, he joined Aspira as vice president of finance accounting.

Speaking of his promotion, he said: “When I joined Point of Rental in 2021, we’d just acquired Rental Hosting, and we had plans to grow quickly. We’ve been on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies every year since, and I am proud of how we’ve handled the additional complexities that growth brings. I look forward to working with our team to keep growing Point of Rental’s worldwide impact.”

Chief executive Wayne Harris added: “We have experienced steady growth over the years, leading to bigger and more complex projects. Matthew’s approach to planning and budgeting has laid a strong foundation for our future growth, and we look forward to building on that foundation with him as our CFO.”
