A brace of Liebherr for SAS

Italian crane and access rental company S.A.S. group has added two new Liebherr All Terrain cranes to its fleet, a 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.3 and a 100 tonne LTM 1100-5.3.

The six axle LTM 1300-6.3 features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Alternatively, a 43 metre lattice extension takes the tip height to 126 metres. Features include VarioBase Plus outrigger set up and monitoring, VarioBallast variable counterweight, Auto-Ballast, and the wind speed related load charts.
The two new cranes

The five axle LTM 1100-5.3 features a seven section 62 metre main boom plus a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway which can be offset to 40 degrees and provides a maximum tip height of 68 metres. It is equipped with the Liccon3 control system, a Stage V diesel and Liebherr’s VarioBase and VarioBallast. It carry up to 16.9 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads and has an overall width of 2.55 metres. Nine tonne axle loads area also achievable.

The S.A.S. Group/Autogru was founded and is based in Novi Ligure, north of Genoa in the province of Alessandria, it also operates from branches in Sannazzaro de' Burgondi near Pavia, south of Milan, Centallo near Cuneo and Rome, along with Satellites in Turin, Milan, Genoa, Savona and Cagliari. The fleet includes All Terrain cranes to 400 tonnes, Rough Terrains, spider and truck cranes, along with truck mounted lifts to 68.5 metres, under bridge units, self-propelled booms and scissors along with spider lifts and telehandlers with more than 60 full time employees.
