Welsh rental company R. W. Christopher Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain crane, part of a three unit order, with a 150 tonne LTM 1150-5.3 and a 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2 also scheduled in the coming months.
The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 crane is equipped with a six section 48 metre boom, topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations which allows axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.
R. W. Christopher’s general manager, Sam Christopher said: “We are excited to introduce another LTM 1060-3.1 to our fleet. This three axle crane is highly popular with our customers. It incorporates the latest technological advancements while remaining exceptionally user friendly, which are key factors in our decision to invest in a Liebherr machine."
Family owned R. W. Christopher was established in 1986 and operates a fleet of cranes from eight to 300 tonnes from its location in Bridgend, covering Wales and south west England.
