French rental company Mordefroy Levage has taken delivery of a 180ft Genie SX-180 boom lift, placing it among the few companies in the country running boom lifts of this height.
The SX-180 features a four section boom topped by a three metre rotating articulated jib to provide a working height of almost 57 metres and an outreach of up to 24.4 metres, while maximum platform capacity is an unrestricted 340kg. The unit can also drive at full height and features the company’s Lift Guard Contact Alarm system.
Owner Patrick Mordefroy said: “The addition of the SX-1800 will enable Mordefroy Levage to support wind turbine maintenance, telecommunications, public services and complex commercial construction. We selected the SX-180 because it complements our existing fleet and expands our capabilities to meet customers needs.”
Established in 1997, Mordefroy Levage operates from two locations in Barberey Saint Sulpice and Montereau Fault Yonne. It specialises in aerial platform rental for industrial maintenance, infrastructure and construction, running a fleet of 20 handling units, 40 access platforms and 15 cranes.
