Socage opens US operation

Socage has opened a new US based distribution operation/company store - Socage North America.

The new operation is based in Epping, New Hampshire, which is in the centre of circle created by the cities of Concord, Manchester, Portsmouth and Rochester. It will become an integral part of the company's global distribution network and is intended to build on the market penetration achieved in North America over the past 13 years working through local partners and dealers, which it will continue.

Socage North America will be led by general manager David Gouldsbrough, who has started putting together a team to develop a product support and dealer/customer assistance programme, while adding more regional dealers across the USA. He joins the company after a year with MB Tractor and Equipment. But prior to that spent eight years with CMC distributor All Access Equipment, as director of service and support. Prior to that he worked as service technician/mechanic with ATS Equipment Sales and Rentals.

The new venture was launched at the TCI Expo tree care show in Baltimore earlier this month, where it promoted the new Raptor spider lift range with the 21 metre Raptor 21S (68ft- 68S in North America) alongside its locally mounted truck mounted lifts.

A statement from the company said: “This strategic expansion responds to the specific needs of the American market, with the aim of offering a selected range of models designed specifically for industry professionals in the United States and Canada. The branch will work closely with a network of local distributors, ensuring comprehensive territorial coverage and offering highly efficient customer service, supported by impeccable after-sales assistance.”

Chief executive Fiorenzo Flisi added: “We are excited to announce this news. The American market is one of the most dynamic and competitive in the world, and we are confident that our experience and commitment to excellence will allow us to offer unique value to our customers.”
