UK rental company Elev8 Access Platforms has entered into insolvency protection/ Administration following a tough period of trading. In its 2023 accounts it has total assets of £ £7.4 million but hardly any tangible net worth and a £1.5 million hole in terms of working capital. It has been struggling to keep on top of its bills for much of the year.
A statement from a member of the Elev8team said: “It has been a very difficult few weeks for Elev8 Group Services (Elev8 Access Platforms) with the company now placed into administration.“
The company is owned by founder and director Machin along with Whiteknights Investment of Chesterfield which in turn is owned by David and Lynsey Harrison and was incorporated in the summer. In total the company employed more than 80 staff, including operators and maintenance managers/mechanics, plus financial and administration staff. The looking to help them find now placements.
Based in Sheffield, Elev8 was established by Jason Machin in 2006, and runs a fleet that includes, truck mounted lifts to 90 metres, along with pick up and van mounts, spider lifts and articulated cranes.
Thank you for those who have already reached out and are looking to support the 80+ staff that have lost their job as a result.
