Italian construction company Imprecom has taken an eight tonne Raimondi T147 flat top tower crane to assist with the restoration of the 20 storey Torre dei Moro high rise building damaged by a fire in 2021.
The T147 has been installed on top of the residential building with an 85 metre hook height and a 62.5 metre jib with a jib tip capacity of 1.45 tonnes, while the winch has a maximum lift speed of 105 metres a minute. Part of Raimondi's Class 110 range, it is also equipped with the ConCore control system.
The crane was supplied through Raimondi dealer Assistediles, its techninal manager Alessandro Morosi said: “After extensive analysis and technical considerations, we opted for installing the flat top directly on top of the building with the support of a 350 tonne mobile crane.”
“This operation was made possible due to some of the T147’s key characteristics; weight optimised carpentry elements and ease of jib assembly. The crane’s versatility, coupled with the great lifting performances fully met our client’s needs.”
The crane has been rented from Assistedile which operates within Milan, Monza and Brianza. The crane is expected to remain on site for two years.
