Sico began renting platforms in 1998 when it purchased a 25 metre Denka MK25 trailer lift for a company providing equipment to the film industry. By 2003 the company decided that there was a real future in the aerial lift rental business and moved into its first dedicated location in Horní Počernice on the east side of Prague, with service facilities and a yard. Growth gathered steam and in 2007 it relocated to its current premises in Jenštějn on the north east side of Prague.

In August 2016 it added more storage space with a yard in nearby Svémyslice on the E65. Since then, the company has opened to additional branches, one in Ústí nad Labem – north west of Prague towards Dresden, Germany, and another in Ostrava on the Eastern boundary of the Czech Republic near the Polish border and Katowice.

In 2020 the company added its first underbridge inspection platform, a Moog MBI 140-1.4/S, forming a dedicated division - Podmostovky Rent. The following year it a few excavators to the fleet and 2022 a 75 metre Palfinger P750, which it says is the highest reaching work platform in the Czech Republic. The fleet also includes spider lifts and telehandlers.
