Irish rental company Charleville Plant Hire, a subsidiary of UK rental group Vp, has taken delivery 20, 10ft Axolift P300 push around scissor lifts. The units were supplied through local dealer Lolex.

The P300 was launched last March and provides a working height of up to 4.95 metres with a maximum platform capacity of 250kg. The P300 has an overall width of 765mm, an overall length of 1.27 metres and a stowed height of just under 1.78 metres the total weight is 390kg. Standard features include saloon style entry gates, a tool tray, automatic braking system, and a foot brake on the platform. Other safety items include tilt sensors and an easy to use emergency lowering system. Power for the lift function is provided by a 24 volt battery pack.
The P300 has a five metre working height
CPH commercial director Martin Hanley said: “These lightweight mini scissors fit in well with our current fleet requirements. Customers are increasingly moving away from the traditional ladder on site, and these low level push around units more than meet their changing requirements.”

CPA is based in Charleville, between Cork and Limerick, and was acquired by Vp last October the company operates from three other outlets in Cork, Limerick and Dublin with 30 employees and a fleet that includes boom and scissor lifts as well as alloy scaffold towers, telehandlers and general rental equipment.
