230 tonner for DLH

UK rental company DLH Lifting Services has taken delivery of a 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 All Terrain crane.

The five axle LTM 1230-5.1 is equipped with an eight section 75 metre main boom and can be topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 113 metres with the main boom at 68 metres.

Managing director Terry Humphreys said: "The purchase of our LTM 1230-5.1 was an easy decision to make as we were looking to phase out our LTM 1200-5.1. With its VarioBallast, Vario riggers and full luffing fly, it was the perfect fit for our growing fleet. A massive thank you to Steve Elliott and the Liebherr Great Britain team for another faultless handover. We look forward to our next delivery of 2025."
The new crane follows the delivery of the company's first new Liebherr - a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 - at the end of last year.

DLH was established at the start of 2015 and is based in Hornchurch on the east side of London towards Basildon. It offers contract lifting, specialist transport and modular building installation across the UK.
