SHC completes Nepal trek for charity

A team from UK rental company Skipton Hire Centre (SHC) has completed a 16 day charity trek through Nepal's Annapurna Circuit, rto raise funds for Alzheimer's research.

The 100 mile trek through remote villages and high altitude terrain was undertaken by managing director Matthew Wilson, drivers Kevin Wilson and Simon Lightowler, and sales director Kieron O'Grady. During the journey Kevin Wilson celebrated his 65th birthday, while Lightowler and O'Grady celebrated their 60th - while supporting Alzheimer's research in memory of O'Grady's mother.
Trekking through the night to the summit of Thorung La Pass

The most challenging day required a 3am start to reach the summit of the Thorung La Pass at 5,416 metres - the world's highest pass - where each member of the group successfully completed the crossing.

Matthew Wilson said: "It was tough, but an incredible achievement for all of us. We wanted to do something memorable to mark these milestone birthdays, and crossing Thorung La Pass together was an experience we'll never forget."
