300t Flagship for Schlamann

German rental company Schlamann-Autokrane has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.3 All Terrain crane, its new flagship upstaging its 250 tonner.
The handover

The six axle, single engine crane includes Liebherr's latest features, including Ecomode, Ecodrive, VarioBallast and updated VarioBase Plus outrigger set up system which features a wider more variable rear outrigger spread - up to 9.4 metres - as well as Auto-Ballast. Maximum counterweight is 88 tonnes and designed to provide the maximum number of transport configurations. It can operate with eight tonnes less counterweight than the LTM1300-6.2 without compromising capacities.
Katharina Schlamann & Torsten Schlamann

Managing director Torsten Schlamann said: "Until now, the five axle LTM 1250-5.1 was our largest crane – we are in the classic taxi crane business. But we have received an increasing number of inquiries that we can no longer cover with our portfolio. The long telescopic boom is ideal for use in infrastructure projects, such as the installation of high electricity pylons for high-voltage lines. With the second winch, we can turn components very easily."

Based in Nienburg, northern Germany, Schlamann operates a fleet of 21 mobile cranes along with aerial work platforms and forklifts from four locations. The company employs 90 and runs approximately 250 machines in total.
