MCS adds maintenance features

Rental software provider MCS has added new features to its rental management system including new maintenance and equipment tracking features. The updates include improved access to equipment information, performance monitoring and more streamlined repair processes.

The system now allows customers to report equipment breakdowns through an online portal, with engineers receiving immediate notifications for urgent repairs. Work orders also include complete repair details to ensure service engineers arrive on site with the correct tools and parts.

A new QR code scanning feature also gives users direct access to documentation, user guides, certificates and service history without contacting the rental company.

Sales director Nick Thomson said: "We have enhanced the Workshop module to ensure equipment is well maintained and ready to be used, while providing engineers and customers with a seamless experience."
