Herc extends offer for H&E
US rental company Herc Rentals has extended its tender offer to acquire all of the shares in H&E Equipment Services.
The original tender was due to expire at midnight on April 15th but has now been extended until April 29th . As of the 15th, Herc had received commitments for shares representing 48.84 percent of the equity.
Herc
outbid United Rentals for the business on February 18th, with an offer of $78.75 in cash and 0.1287 shares of Herc common stock for each H&E share, at the time said to be worth $104.89 a share, compared to United's $92.00 - a 14 percent premium.
