Kunze to supply Elma

German sales and rental company Kunze has added Platform Basket’s Elma spider and tracked transporter cranes to its product range.

It will offer the newest models including the 3.2 tonne MCX90 and four tonne MCX110 spider cranes, as well as the MCR spider range - including the 995kg MCR30, the 2.1 tonne MCR30 Plus and the 2.1 tonne MCR40 - along with the PCR series of tracked carrier cranes.

Kunze has been Platform Basket's exclusive distributor for Germany and Austria for several years, and recently delivered its 100th Platform Basket road/rail platform. It was founded in 1988 by Karl Kunze who stepped down in 2022 as his son, Charly Kunze, took over. He founded the company as an aerial work platform dealer covering southern Germany, and particularly Bavaria, later adding a second company, Kunze Rental and Service, to handle a trailer product he had acquired. Today the company runs a rental fleet of more than 120 platforms.
