100th rail platform for Kunze

German rental company Meykratec Hebetechnik has taken delivery of a 41ft Platform Basket RR14 EVO3-400 road rail boom lift from distributor Kunze. The platform marks a milestone for Kunze as it is its 100th Platform Basket road/rail platform delivery.

The RR14 EVO3 is able to work on wheels or tracks with a 1.9 metre gauge track set and features automatic self-levelling of the superstructure allowing it to work on banked and inclined tracks or out of level ground conditions. The lift also includes a new Euro V diesel, and an onboard generator to provide power to the platform. It offers a maximum outreach of 9.3 metres and 160kg unrestricted platform capacity, while five metres outreach is possible with the maximum 400kg platform capacity.
The handover: (L-R) Carlo Molesini of Platform Basket with Benjamin Döscher of Meykratec along with Charly Kunze and Florian Kunze-Scheffler

The handover took place at Platform Basket's facility in Italy which entailed a three day event including factory tours and live demonstrations of the road rail platforms.

Kunze serves as the exclusive Platform Basket distributor for Germany and Austria, offering sales and rental of rail-mounted platforms with working heights from nine to 19 metres. The machines are available with diesel, electric or hybrid power options.
