China’s largest SPMT fleet

Chinese company Cosco Shipping Corporation (Cosco) has added a large number of new Scheuerle Self Propelled Modular Transporter’s (SPMT) and Power Pack Units to its fleet, which according to the two companies, make it the largest SPMT fleet in China.

The majority of the SPMT units have 48 tonne axle loads and will be used for offshore and infrastructure projects.

TII Scheuerle group managing director Filippo Baldassari said: "Our SPMT are the global standard and are used worldwide when maximum precision and safety are required under extreme conditions. We are proud to know that Cosco remains a strong and future oriented partner having worked with us for many years."
