UK based aerial lift manufacturer Niftylift is celebrating 40 years in business this year. It kicked off events yesterday with an open day, one of several this week, and a gala dinner last night for customers past and present and many of those who have supported the company over the years.

The company was founded in 1985 by chairman Roger Bowden with the development of the 12 metre Nifty 120 trailer lift, which he built in his garden shed in Bedfordshire, moving to is current home town of Milton Keynes in 1988.

Today the company has revenues in excess of £170 million, 550 employees with sales in more than 70 countries.
