John Sutch and Modulift team up

UK based John Sutch Cranes teamed up with rigging gear supplier Modulift, using its lattice spreader beams to install roof sheets on Southport's Ocean Plaza Leisure Park which houses restaurants, retail stores and entertainment facilities.

The installation required the lifting and placement of roofing materials across long spans at the development. The fact that the long steel spreader beams were modular made transport to site much easer while also being adaptable to on the job, which proved a real asset.

Modulift managing director Sarah Spivey said: "We are proud to see our lattice spreader beams play a vital role in this project. Their unique design enables the safe lifting of long and lightweight loads, which is crucial for projects like this where precision and safety are paramount."
A lift in operation

Founded in 2002, Modulift - now part of Pewag - is based in Poole, Dorset and manufactures a range of standard and custom lifting beams and sling set ups which are ideal for larger construction projects.

Established in 1990, family run John Sutch Cranes is based in Liverpool with a second location in Manchester. The company employs 86 and runs a fleet 35 of All Terrain cranes, truck cranes and self-erecting mobile tower cranes with the largest in the fleet being a 450 tonne Liebherr.
