Spanish crane rental company Grúas Roxu has taken one of the first 250 tonne Tadano AC 5.250L-2 long boom All Terrain cranes.
The AC 5.250L-2 was launched at Bauma earlier this year and includes a 79 metre eight section main boom with a range of 5.8 to 30 metre lattice extensions taking the maximum tip height to 112 metres. The crane also includes Tadano’s IC‑1 Plus and Surround View systems, as well as the Eco mode and a start stop function for reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.

Based in Meres, Asturias in northern Spain, Grúas Roxu was established in 1979 and now operates throughout Spain as well as Costa Rica. It runs a fleet of more than 170 cranes topped by two 1,600 tonne Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler cranes, a 1,200 tonne LTR 11200 telescopic crawler and 1,200 tonne LTM 11200-9.1 All Terrain, along with a fleet of more than 700 aerial work platforms as well as telehandlers.
