Dutch tower crane supplier Giraffe Cranes has appointed Bultech as its official distributor for Belgium, the company will handle all sales, service and parts support for Giraffe’s full range of self-erecting portable cranes.
The first model to be delivered is the 1.5 tonne Giraffe 350.15-M trailer crane, rated at four metres, with a 14 metre hook height, the 350.15-M offers a jib tip capacity of 350kg at 15 metres radius and a hook height of 14 metres with the jib horizontal, or 450kg at a radius of 13 metres and hook height of 20.3 metres with the jib luffed to its maximum height.

The overall length on the road is 9.7 metres with an overall width of 2.3 metres and total weight of 3.5 tonnes. The outrigger footprint is 4.4 metre square.
Giraffe cranes was established last year by Bulten Bouwmaterieel to assemble self-erecting tower cranes on wheeled and tracked chassis. The company uses self-erecting cranes from Potain and Cataneo.
Based in Zele, between Antwerp and Gent, Bultech was established by Willem Van den Bulcke, whose family has been in construction for more than 65 years. The company’s main focus is selling, servicing, transport and installation of new and used Potain self-erecting tower cranes. The agreement with Giraffe represents a new departure for the company.

Speaking of the move Van den Bulke said: “We consciously choose brands that match quality and ease of use. The Giraffe 350.15-M is a high quality crane that will make a difference for many contractors."
Bultech and Giraffe Cranes will have a joint stand at this year’s Matexpo fair in Kortrijk, Belgium, from September 10th.
