Time for a change

UK access industry sales veteran Linda Betts has said that she is retiring this month after more than 33 years in the business.

Her access career began with Nationwide Access, as it was then, as an HGV Class 1 truck mounted aerial lift operator, during her time with the company she transitioned to a sales role, and was appointed as a sales director. After 12 years in the role with some notable successes, she left Nationwide to work with Genie, where she was initially responsible for sales in the North of England, and later UK sales manager. In 2010 she took time out from the access industry to set up and run her own business, a cattery, in Peterborough. But, in 2016 she was drawn back to the industry joining Snorkel as UK sales director. In 2019 she was lured to Hinowa dealer APS where she has been major accounts manager for the past seven years.

Speaking of her decision to hang up her sales shoes/hat…. she said: “I have decided to hang up my sales hat and retire. It has been an amazing journey so many stories and tales along the way. It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented, dedicated, and kind hearted people, you could ever wish to meet, let alone work with.”

“To everyone who has been part of this journey: thank you. Thank you for the trust, the lessons, the friendship, and the memories. I’ll carry them with me into this next chapter. A special thanks to APS what a fantastic time this past seven years has been.”
