German crane rental company Rothmund und Montage has taken delivery of a 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 All Terrain crane, its fourth unit of this model since 2020.

The five axle LTM 1230-5.1 is equipped with an eight section 75 metre main boom and can be topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 113 metres with the main boom at 68 metres.

Managing director Heiko Brückner said: "We've bought our fourth LTM 1230-5.1 because this crane simply represents the ideal concept for us. With the variable VarioBase support, along with the VarioBallast counterweight and different ballast variations, we are able to use it on a vast range of jobs. The LTM 1230-5.1 is a real all rounder and, thanks to its flexibility, is hugely popular - including for concrete and steel construction, tower crane assembly and industrial work."

Established 40 years ago, Rothmund is based in Pforzheim, south west Germany. It offers a fleet of more than 20 mobile cranes with lifting capacities up to 350 tonnes as well as loader cranes. It also offers forklifts and has a fleet of delivery and haulage vehicles.
