Genie has appointed Keith John to cover the UK Suth territory, along with a number of strategic accounts. He starts officially at the end of the month, in other words, this week.
John began his career in 1996 when he joined Oxford based rental company 2 Cousins where he worked his way up through the company to become managing director. During that time was appointed chairman of the Access Link association of independent regional rental companies serving a three year term at the Link, from 2013 until the end of 2016, when he left 2 Cousins, after 21 years with the company.
Keith John
He joined Genie for the first time in early 2017 as territory sales manager UK South, leaving during the pandemic - in the middle of 2022– he took up the role of access and handling manager at Charles Wilson Engineers - CW Plant Hire. But in March 2023 was recruited by JCB as sales manager for Europe - his first official international appointment - working with sales director John Chandler a former colleague at Genie.
He had a fair few positive successes at JCB, in markets new to him, motivating non access distributors and subsidiaries. But after John Chandler left JCB in late 2024, Genie came knocking on Keith John’s door. He was obviously persuaded to return to the blue and grey, and after serving his notice with JCB is back on board. In his new post he will be working in concert with long time
Genie dealer Workplatform while handling some of Genie major accounts directly.
Speaking of the move he said: "I am thrilled to rejoin Genie at such an exciting time in the company's journey. With its renewed focus on innovation, I am confident that Genie is poised to achieve great things. I look forward to contributing to our collective success and helping to shape the future of the company “
