Service manager for APS

UK based Access Platform Sales (APS) has appointed Neil Ashton as service manager.

Ashton joins the company after 11.5 years with Versalift, most recently working as head of aftersales. He began his career in 1988 as a plant fitter with the Royal Engineers, leaving in 1996 to join crane sales and rental company AGD Equipment as service manager. After 17 years in the role he moved to Versalift as product support manager, a role he held until early 2022 when he was promoted to head of aftersales.

Ashton said: “I am very much looking forward to growing the APS aftercare business and working with some legends in the access world.”

Managing director Andy Bray, who worked with Ashton at Versalift, added: “I am delighted to welcome Neil as our new service manager. Having worked with Neil before, I know first hand the value he brings, deep industry knowledge, IPAF involvement and a highly respected individual within the access market. Neil has proven experience to drive the sustainable growth of our aftercare business.”

Founded in 1987, by Jim Daintith APS is based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and distributes a wide range of access equipment throughout the UK.
