New 38m Ruthmann

German aerial lift manufacturer Ruthmann, has announced a new 38 metre truck mounted lift on a two axle chassis – the T380 XS.

The new model was introduced at the recent Platformers Days in Germany but will make its first physical appearance at next year’s Bauma.

The new model has a five section boom, topped by a fairly long jib with 185 degrees of articulation , it also features an independent elevating boom pivot point, all of which provides a working height of 38 metres and up to 32.1 metres of working outreach with the boom fully extended and horizontal at which point it can manage 100kg in the platform. The maximum 500kg platform capacity is available at a working height of just over 36 metres and an outreach of almost 26 metres. The elevating pivot point also allows an up & over clearance of 4.5 metres.

The new machine has an overall length of 8.35 metres and weights just under 18 tonnes. It can be ordered with standard two wheel drive or in a 4x4 version.
