One of our readers spotted a group trying to attach a flag to a high lamppost, with the oddest of access methods.
Clearly having nothing more than a small step ladder they have collected wheel bins and managed to stack them in order to provide a working height of around five and a half metres, which still seems lower than they wanted. These bins really do not stack well, it is a miracle that they have remained, and you have to wonder how they managed to get the top one into place. It is one of the most precarious methods we have ever seen.
A closer look
In the words of our correspondent: “Spotted today near Leicester, a rather questionable access method for working at height?! Unfortunately, I wasn’t about, and it was sent by a friend, so I missed the opportunity to intervene with some advice about their unsafe act.”
“Whilst the reason they’re doing this might be topical in the news, it’s really irrelevant in my books, but I’d rather they weren’t taking such risks. One for the death wish series?”
We agree the odds of this ending in tears was extremely high and could have resulted in life changing injuries of worse.
Definitely one for the Death Wish Series.
Have a safe weekend.
