New sales VP for Grove

Manitowoc/Grove has appointed Timo Stenz as vice president of sales for Grove mobile cranes in Central Europe.

He will lead the sales teams in Germany and the Netherlands, looking to develop new business and strengthen existing customer relationships, while expanding the company’s mobile crane sales activities in Northern and Eastern Europe.

A mechanical engineer by training he has spent his entire career with road equipment manufacturer Bomag, starting out as a product manager based at group headquarters in Germany. After four years with the company, he was promoted to sales & product manager at Bomag Americas in Illinois, returning to Germany as marketing manager in 2012, and was promoted to international regional sales manager a couple of years later. In 2021 he took over as global sales director, before leaving in July, having been recruited by Manitowoc.

European vice president of sales Pier Domenico Ravera said: “We are excited to welcome Timo to our team. With his proven track record and deep understanding of the construction equipment industry, Timo will play a key role in expanding the presence of Grove cranes in customer fleets across major European markets.”

Stenz added: "I'm excited to join Manitowoc, a company known for its strong portfolio and unwavering commitment to quality. I look forward to working with the Grove team and keeping up and building lasting partnerships with our customers."
