New non execs for Ashtead

Two Ashtead non-executive directors, Lucinda Riches and Tanya Fratto have retired. The company had already announced that it had appointed to new non-executives, Nando Cesarone and Jamie Singleton who joined the Ashtead board last month. Both have joined the audit, nominations, and remuneration committees, while Singleton has also been appointed as chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Nando Cesarone

Cesarone has spent his entire career so far – 35 years – with UPS - United Parcel Service - where he has been president of the USA business since 2020, and before that UPS International he has had similar roles at the helm of its European, South Asian and Asia Pacific regions, having joined the company in Canada in 1990. He is also a non-executive director of Airlines for America.

Jamie Singleton

Singleton is the lead independent director and chairman of the executive committee at Wesco International having joined its board when the company went public. He has spent his career in financial services and was previously chief executive of Curex Holdings.

Ashtead, the parent company of Sunbelt Rentals in the USA, Canada and the UK is in the process of moving its financial headquarter and stock market listing gfrom the UK to the USA.
