Paylor back at LGMG

LGMG has relaunched its North America operation with industry veteran Craig Paylor back as president.
Paylor was instrumental in setting up LGMG in North America in early 2019 along with Rusty Kaylor, but left the business in early 2022.

The company says that its North American business has a renewed focus on growth, as production at its facility in Monterrey, Mexico becomes fully operational, with the plan to ramp the volume up to 30,000 units a year within three years. The facility is also home to a new dedicated North American R&D centre.

The company has also introduced a five year standard warranty, and claims a 94 percent spare parts fill rate, at its new service centre being development in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Vertikal Comment

This might look like a retrograde step, a back to the future moment, if you like, but Paylor is not only a steady hand at a critical time, but his long experience at JLG and knowledge of the industry and its key players should/could work well, esepecially if he trains up an appropriate successor and exploits the huge investment the company has made in the region. With many buyers irritated by tariffs both punitive and trade... 'if he plays his cards right' he might just 'clean up', or at the very least do very well.
