German tower crane manufacturer and rental group Wolffkran has appointed Dave Holder as UK managing director UK. He takes over from Richard Coughtrey who has been promoted to head of group accounting.
Dave Holder has been an employee of Wolffkran /and its UK predecessor HTC since 2004, with a short break between 2012 and 2014 when he worked with Caspian Industrial Services. His current role at Wolffkran is European operations director., which includes overseeing the group's growing international rental fleet.

Holder began his career in 1991 as a crane operator/rigging supervisor with UK crane rental company Baldwins Industrial Services, leaving for a similar role at Hewden in 1994. After eight years with the company, he left for HTC where he was appointed as crane operator and installation supervisor. After seven years in the role, he was promoted to national operations manager, leaving for Caspian the following year. He returned to HTC as director and general manager as its acquisition by Wolffkran was underway in 2014 and was appointed to his current position at the end of 2018.

Dave returns to the UK with a strong sense of purpose and a clear vision to further strengthen our position in the market.”
Holder added: “I am delighted to take on this new responsibility. Together with our strong team, I look forward to building on Wolffkran’s reputation and driving the business into its next chapter.”
Richard Coughtrey stepped into the role of UK managing director when Dave Holder moved to his global role with Wolff in 2018. In his new position he will be responsible for shaping the future direction of the group's accounting policies and direction. The new job takes him back to his roots in finance. He joined the business in 2005 as financial controller of HTC, and was promoted to financial director in 2014 a role he carried out until 2018 when he took over as managing director.
