New president for Konecranes

Konecranes has promoted Jussi Rautiainen to president of business & industrial equipment. He will work alongside Marko Tulokas who was appointed as chief executive in June.

Rautiainen has spent his entire 25 year career with Konecranes, starting in 2004 as a trainee, carrying out a range of duties over the next six and a half years, including sales, project deliveries and commissioning. In 2011 he was promoted to general manager of shipyard cranes. Four years later he added bulk handling equipment to his remit. Then, in 2017 he became STS Cranes director in Fujian, China. 18 months later he was promoted to senior vice president of port cranes, and then senior vice president & head of the Quay and Horizontal cranes business.

Tulokas said: "The Industrial Equipment business is in good shape today and I am very confident that Jussi Rautiainen is the right person to build on its positive momentum. His extensive experience will be a valuable contribution to our strategy of strengthening our position in material handling solutions.”

Rautiainen added: “I am grateful to accept another new challenge at Konecranes, which has offered me so many exciting opportunities during my long career with the company. I look forward to joining Konecranes' Leadership Team and to be part of the ongoing efforts to meet our customers' current and future demands.”
