Boss Crane & Rigging additions

US based Boss Crane & Rigging (Bennett On-Site Services) has appointed Joel Thames and Kevin Hamilton as regional managers, while also adding two 100 tonne Grove TMS 9000e truck cranes.

Hamilton will focus on the Southeastern market in the USA having joined the company from crane & rigging services company Rigupatl where he has worked as managing director since March.

He began his lifting industry career in 1995 as a crane operator with All Crane moving to Mammoet Canada after four and a half years where he was appointed as a crane and rigging supervisor, leaving In 2007 for General Cranes USA in Texas where he was operations manager, returning to Mammoet two years later as crane and rigging superintendent.
In 2011 he moved to Santis HSE as heavy lift consultant. After two and a half years in the job, he left to become equipment manager and cranes rigging superintendent with Fluor Corporation. Joining Buckner Heavy Lift Cranes in 2016 as project sales manager. In 2021, he joined transportation and logistics company Roll Group as account manager/consultant for a year before starting with GCCS – a division of Peak Lifting Solutions, where he was chief operating officer. In 2022, he took on a similar role with Gulf Coast Crane Service before joining Rigupatl.

Hamilton said: "Our factory to foundation model eliminates complexity for clients. We supply the equipment at the factory, coordinate secure transport, unload with our cranes and install using our expert riggers, all under one contract."

Joel Thames will focus on the Texas market. With 32 years of experience in the lifting industry, he has worked across the oil & gas, chemical, industrial, and commercial sectors. In his new role, he will be responsible for expanding crane rental and heavy lifting services in the territory.
Thames said: “In Texas, projects don't wait, and neither do we. With one call, we mobilise the right crane, crew and plan to get the job done safely and on time."
Another new TMS 9000e working in Florida

The two new Grove TMS 9000e’s feature a five section 43.3 metre twin lock boom with manual offset or luffing bi-fold swingaway options with additional inserts. When retracted, the crane has an overall length of 10.9 metres, a width of 2.3 metres and height of 11.7 metres with an overall weight of 39 tonnes.

Boss Crane & Rigging is based in Longview, Texas, and is an affiliate of the family owned Bennett Family of companies running a fleet of cranes ranging from eight to 900 tonnes.
