The UK based rental industry charity Plant and Hire Aid Alliance needs help to complete its campaign to send Christmas gifts to Ukraine.
The charity needs help to transport more than 10,000 Christmas gifts to children in Ukraine, essentially it needs around £3,000 to fund two trucks to carry more than 7,400 of the presents from Bath, in south west England to Vinnytsia, central Ukraine.
Volunteers wrapping the gifts
The alliance has organised Christmas gift deliveries to Ukrainian children for the past three years, sending 30,000 gist packages in 2022, 20,000 in 2023 and 15,000 in 2024. The gifts are distributed by the Rotary Clubs of Ukraine.
This year, 250 volunteers wrapped gifts at events in Bath and Ipswich. Additional gifts are at the alliance's Ipswich depot awaiting transport.
Plant and Hire Aid Alliance founder and Ardent Rental chief executive Jeremy Fish said: “I've seen the smiles of the children's faces as they receive what could be their only Christmas present, and I know how much it means to them to know that someone cares.”
